A lady who had recently registered with Dial-a-Ride with her Dad called one day to book a drive to go and see her pony. She had not seen the pony in quite some time. She stated that she would not be more than about 15 minutes but that she really wanted to brush her pony. The DAR Coordinator reassured her that she could spend as much time as she liked. The lady then mentioned that she would have to book another ride on another day to visit the graveyard “as DAR couldn’t take her to both places on the same day”. Again she was reassured that we could and would if she wanted, she was ecstatic. She was concerned that she would have to pay double the cost since it was two activities – again we reassured her she would not be charged double, simply the cost of the mileage. She lives on a fixed income. On a fixed income WHDAR
